Our rural and farming communities are the backbone of our local economy, and I will continue to highlight the importance of our local farms and Lincolnshire's role as producers of much of the nation's food. Caring for our environment is also incredibly important, whether that is tackling litter, or protecting the beauty of our local landscapes. I always enjoy speaking with farmers and regularly highlight their views on sustainable food production and environmental protections in Parliament.

I was delighted to nominate Geoff Hotchkin as the NFU Community Farming Hero for Sleaford and North Hykeham and it was a pleasure to visit his farm to present him with his certificate. Geoff has dedicated his life to farming and goes above and beyond to support the local community.
