I have spoken with Lincolnshire County Council's Environment and Economy Scrutiny Committee about the future of the North Hykeham Relief Road. The road is meant to begin construction next year but its future now hangs in the balance due to the Labour Government's indefinite review of capital schemes.
I will continue to work with local leaders to urge the Government to provide assurance that the project can proceed to construction as soon as possible. This project has long been promised to the local community and it is imperative that the road is built to improve transport connectivity and boost economic growth in our area.
