Further to my ongoing correspondence and multiple meetings with East Midlands Railway and the Department for Transport, I have received confirmation today that EMR has been able to re-time the morning train service in order to provide an improved earlier 0833 arrival into Sleaford for commuters and pupils.
Will Rogers, Managing Director at EMR, has confirmed to me that this timetable change will take place on Sunday 2 June 2024.
EMR, Network Rail and DB Rail Freight have worked hard together to facilitate the earlier timings for this service, which will provide an improved time for commuters and pupils to reach their destinations in Sleaford in the morning.
I know that the local train services offer a cost effective way for school pupils in particular to travel into Sleaford and I want to ensure people can get to work and school on time. Please do let me know your thoughts on the new arrival time of this service as I continue to work on the matter.
