Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, which marks the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Earlier this week I signed the Book of Commitment to pledge my commitment to remembering the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and to paying tribute to the survivors who still tell their stories and educate young people today.
As the Holocaust moves from living history, to history, it becomes ever more important that we take the time to honour those who suffered under Nazi persecution and ensure their stories are never forgotten.
