I was delighted to join my fellow Lincolnshire MPs and many local people at a Parliamentary event this week to show our support for the Red Arrows remaining in Lincolnshire.
I know we are all saddened by the forthcoming closure of RAF Scampton, but we must all do what we can to push for the Red Arrows to stay in our county. We take huge pride in our long association with the RAF, and the Red Arrows are a source of a great deal of local affection.
I have already met with the new Secretary of State for Defence to press our case, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to do what we can to keep the home of the Red Arrows in the historic heart of Lincolnshire.
