I am aware of constituents' concerns regarding the new arrival time of the service into Sleaford at 0852 and its effects on commuters and pupils who attend Carre's Grammar School, Kesteven & Sleaford High School and St George’s Academy.
In June I met with East Midlands Railway who reviewed the situation and were unable to make the required changes to the schedule. Since then, however, I have contacted Minister Chris Heaton- Harris MP at the Department for Transport who has taken a look into the situation. He has now provided an update to confirm EMR are taking a fresh look over the forthcoming weeks to consider what it would take to enable a service to arrive at Sleaford at a suitable time for pupils and commuters.
I will continue to push for any possible adjustments to the timetable to help constituents arrive in Sleaford at a suitable time for their school and work commitments and I will keep you updated.
