Many constituents have contacted me about their concerns relating to the ongoing waste fire at Fen Lane in Long Bennington. I have been continuing to work behind the scenes on ensuring that all these concerns are being raised at the highest levels, including with the Environment Agency and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
I understand that the relevant authorities have commenced an extinguishment plan, and Cllr Alexander Maughan and I are working together to ensure your queries and concerns are being raised with the authorities who are making the operational decisions.
