I visited Lost Village Festival yesterday evening to meet the team before they open their doors today to 18,500 visitors for the weekend.
The festival takes place between Norton Disney and Witham St Hughs and contributes nearly £2 million to the local economy each year. It features a packed programme of music artists, food created by Michelin-starred chefs, comedy, creative spaces, workshops, spas and much more.
I was able to see the preparations they have made to manage their responsibilities for noise control within the area. This includes implementing new sound systems, working with NKDC officers, monitoring noise levels in local villages to keep within their licence agreements and moving a stage around to reduce the impact.
The team have also established a 24 hour Community Impact Number which is operational from 10am 22/08 to 1pm 26/08. Residents can call 01522 719 101 to discuss any concerns with the team.
