Today, the Government announced plans to ban machetes and zombie-style knives, helping to crack down on devastating violence and keep our communities safe.

- New policing powers to seize and destroy knives intended for use

- Increased penalties surrounding possession and sale from 6 months to 2 years

- New offence for possession with the intent to endanger life or cause fear of violence
