Welcoming £464,000 for Local A1 Service Stations

Service Stations

The Government is providing Gonerby Moor Services, Foston Service Station and Toll Bar Service Station in the constituency with grants totalling approximately £464,000 from Round 1 of the HGV Parking and Driver Welfare Match-Funding Grant Scheme.

The scheme provides match funding to support Lorry Parking operators to improve HGV driver welfare in the following areas:

 - welfare facilities for drivers - including toilets, shower facilities, rest areas

 - security for drivers - including lighting systems, CCTV and monitoring equipment, and secure fencing

 - HGV parking capacity - including additional spaces and reconfiguration

I am pleased that Sleaford and North Hykeham has received this significant support for our road haulage and logistics sector, and that our service stations will be providing better facilities for lorry drivers during their stops.
