Delighted that the planning application made by Lincoln Proteins Ltd to build a large scale industrial animal rendering plant in Norton Disney has been unanimously refused. The levels of traffic and the environmental impact would have been extremely detrimental to residents and local businesses, and would have put the Bomber Counter Gateway Trust heritage project ‘On Freedom’s Wings’ in serious jeopardy as well.
I'm pleased that common sense has prevailed and well done to the more than 1100 people who took the time to write to the planning committee to oppose the plans. Rest assured, if the decision is appealed, the strength of feeling locally has not gone unheard and I will continue to strongly oppose this application.
