It was great to visit St George's Academy in Ruskington where I attended one of the fantastic sessions delivered by the Jon Egging Trust who focus on broadening the teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills of pupils at the school.
During the morning, I was able to learn how the JET programmes inspire and develop young people's confidence as they move into adulthood. I enjoyed speaking to Dr Emma Egging and the local team to better understand how they work within the school to help pupils thrive in their training and employment opportunities.
Many thanks to all the pupils and teams at JET and St George's Academy for welcoming me to the session, and I look forward to continuing to support their work with local schools and military bases in Sleaford and North Hykeham.
