I enjoyed visiting Gohil's Pharmacy in Sleaford recently where I met pharmacy owner Andrea Modamudamburiand and Tracey Latham-Green, Chief Officer of Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire.
Pharmacies are at the heart of our communities and provide an accessible point of contact for those with health queries or needing support and reassurance with medications. I was particularly impressed by the state of the art dispensing machine that Andrea has invested in which provides pharmacy technicians with assistance in preparing prescriptions and medicines for patients.
I was also interested to hear of how community pharmacies tackle loneliness and I welcome that Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire is operating a pilot scheme called the Lifeguard Project which aims to recognise people in danger from suicidal thoughts and domestic abuse.
