I recently met again with Minister Wendy Morton, Minister of State in the Department for Transport, and East Midlands Railway to continue to press for any possible adjustments to the 0852 morning train into Sleaford so that constituents can arrive at a suitable time for their school and work commitments.
I am pleased that the Minister has confirmed that EMR can retime the service to provide an earlier arrival into Sleaford at 0840, with this potentially beginning in September for the new school year.
I understand that this is still very tight for commuters and pupils and I am therefore keen to seek constituents' views on the revised timing. Please do let me know your thoughts on the new arrival time of this service by emailing me at [email protected]
I also understand that constituents remain concerned about the introduction of car parking charges brought in at Metheringham station, which I will continue to highlight with EMR.
