NKDC have shared their vision to refresh and repurpose Sleaford's market place using an investment of more than £1m from the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Under the proposals, the market place will become an enhanced public space to benefit residents and visitors with the aim to help increase overall footfall, dwell-time and trade in the town centre.
If planning permission is granted, the long-held aspiration for improved public space at the heart of Sleaford can be realised using this Government investment. I am pleased that Sleaford has secured this funding, which is a central pillar of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda, to identify and build on the town's strengths and needs at a local level.
A full planning application will be open for public comment and responses shortly, with residents, traders and those with a wider interest invited to have their say as part of the planning process.
