I recently met with representatives from villages affected by the Fosse Green Energy Solar Farm proposal covering 2,500 acres in the Witham St Hughs/ Thorpe on the Hill/ Bassingham / Norton Disney/ Aubourn area of my constituency.
Fosse Green Energy Solar Farm is one of the four current large solar farm applications on a "Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project" scale within my constituency.
I know that many residents in the villages affected by this proposal are deeply concerned about the impact this will have on the area, including the effects on Lincolnshire's food production, wildlife and landscape character.
I will continue to work closely with the communities affected by the proposal, and ask for alternative uses of solar to be looked at, rather than energy companies being allowed to industrialise vast sections of beautiful countryside.
