I was delighted to visit Metheringham Swimming Pool where I met the fantastic team of volunteers who run this great community facility.
The team work very hard to enable the pool to run throughout the spring and summer for residents and visitors to enjoy outdoor swimming sessions at the heated lido. They offer a great range of adult, parent & child, open family, junior lifeguard, pool party, private booking and midnight swims. Furry friends can also enjoy the pool at the end of the season dog swims!
It was great to hear how pupils at Metheringham Primary School thoroughly enjoy using the pool for their swimming lessons. I was delighted to meet some of the pupils and hear about their recent fundraising efforts where they raised over £1600 for the pool in June!
Many thanks to all those involved in running the facility and to members of the school community for their brilliant support. I look forward to continuing to work with the team and champion future bids for funding for a great local pool.
