Disposable Vape Ban - Legislation Laid Before The House

I am pleased that the Government has laid the disposable vape ban legislation before the House, which follows on from that originally put forward by the previous Government.

In February last year, I introduced the Disposable Electronic Cigarettes (Prohibition of Sale) Ten Minute Rule Bill and have been campaigning for a ban on disposable vapes and further restrictions to tackle teen vaping ever since.

I am pleased that there has been work and support across the House to bring this legislation forward. This is the start of creating an overall package to control vaping and protect our children and our natural environment. It has my support.

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill has undergone its Second Reading in the House of Commons. Second Reading is the first opportunity for MPs to debate the main principles of the Bill.This Bill includes measures to tackle vaping among children, on which I have personally campaigned.
