Our rural and farming communities are the backbone of our local economy, and I will continue to highlight the importance of our local farms and Lincolnshire's role as producers of much of the nation's food. Caring for our environment is also incredibly important, whether that is tackling litter, or protecting the beauty of our local landscapes. I always enjoy speaking with farmers and regularly highlight their views on sustainable food production and environmental protections in Parliament.

Campaigning against Solar Farms in Lincolnshire

I am continuing to campaign against massive solar farms in Lincolnshire, which will cover our beautiful countryside and take thousands of acres of agricultural land out of use.

Opposing the Government's Family Farm Tax

Today Conservative MPs voted to oppose the Government's Family Farm Tax.The Prime Minister looked farmers in the eye and promised them he would respect them. He has broken his promise by introducing the Family Farm Tax.

Joining Local Farmers for Westminster Protest

I joined the Westminster Rally with local farmers to call on the government to stop the Family Farm Tax and reverse their appalling plans. This tax will devastate family farms, destroy rural communities and put British food security at risk.

North Hykeham Senior Citizens Fair 2024!

The King's Speech and Farmers

The King's Speech was delivered in Parliament this week where the new Government has set out its priorities for legislation to go before the House. As an MP representing a rural constituency, I am disappointed that there is nothing for British farmers and food producers within the speech.

Farming Recovery Fund Open
