As Parliament has returned from recess this week, I have been back highlighting the impact current large scale solar farm proposals will have in my constituency, following on from my Solar Farms and Planning Westminster Hall Debate before the summer.
This week in the Energy Bill debate, I set out how I object to these large scale proposals, in particular when placed on our best agricultural land, and the knock on effects this will have on food production. I will continue to advocate against solar parks on productive land and instead for the use of industrial roof space and brownfield sites.
