Summer Reading Challenge
This summer, children aged 4-11 can visit Sleaford Library and get involved in a science and innovation themed Summer Reading Challenge. The Challenge starts on Saturday 9th July 2022 and runs until Saturday 10th September.
Through taking part in the Challenge, with free materials from Sleaford Library, children will be able to join six fictional Gadgeteers. The characters – brought to life by children’s writer and illustrator Julian Beresford – use their curiosity and wonder to understand the science behind a whole range of interests, from fashion and technology to cooking and music.
The Challenge involves reading 6 books over the summer holidays, collecting small gifts along the way, including a medal and certificate when you finish. This year we've an extra prize too! All children that complete the Challenge at Sleaford Library will receive a voucher for a free swim at Sleaford Leisure Centre.
